CHIME is officially registered with the Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) in The Netherlands as Stichting CHIME, European Foundation for Chinese Music Research. KvK no.41168098. We are acknowledged by the Dutch tax inspection as a non-profit institution (ANBI, 'algemeen nut beogende instelling'), Anbi nr 8016471. For the annual report, see below.

 

 

CHIME has received incidental grants and logistic support from the Music Research Institute in Beijing, the European Science Foundation (ESF), the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (Taiwan), the Dutch Organization for Science and Education NWO, the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences KNAW, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) and other institutions.

 

 

CHIME co-operates actively with institutions worldwide, including the European Seminar in Ethnomusicology (ESEM), the School of Oriental and African Studies in London (SOAS), Haute école de musique de Genève, the Universities of Leiden, Dublin, Heidelberg, Prague, Venice, Paris Sorbonne, and the Music Conservatories of Beijing (Central Conservatory) and Shanghai. We also maintain contacts with international concert agencies.
